Octopus Unquoted Capital is made up of our three unquoted investment teams, Intermediate Capital, Ventures and Private Equity.
All three teams pride themselves on their open and transparent communication and ability to deliver in the exciting smaller business environment. When working with others we strive to provide swift, clear and constructive feedback, even if an opportunity is not for us.
Ultimately, we want Octopus to be the first choice financial partner for fast growing and ambitious SME companies.
Octopus Private Equity
The Private Equity team has £110m under management and are one of the most active investors in the UK lower mid market.
We look to invest between £2m and £8m into MBO and Expansion Capital investment opportunities; where businesses have strong growth potential with clear, sustainable competitive advantages.
Octopus Intermediate Capital
The Intermediate Capital team will generally invest 1x to 2x EBITDA dependent upon stability of cash-flows.
We typically offer cheaper finance than other equity providers and more flexible finance than a bank. Whilst we seek some yield in our investment we won't require capital repayment for the first five years of our investment.
Octopus Ventures
The Ventures team provides both capital and business expertise to small, fast growing companies.
We look to invest between £500k and £2m in UK businesses that show opportunities for significant growth with management teams we can work with.
